The Helena Business Association is pleased to offer free movies in the park every Friday night. This Friday – June 15 – will be the third of ten movies the HBA will show throughout the summer. This week we are showing . . .
Winnie The Pooh (G)
During an ordinary day in Hundred Acre Wood, Winnie the Pooh sets out to find some honey. Misinterpreting a note from Christopher Robin, Owl convinces Tigger, Rabbit, Piglet, Pooh, Kanga, Roo, and Eeyore that their young friend has been captured by a creature named “Backsoon” and they set out to save him.
The movie stars Jim Cummings, Craig Ferguson and John Cleese.
Jim Cummings was born in 1952 and grew up in Columbus, Ohio. He moved to New Orleans where he designed Mardi Gras floats, was a singer, door-to-door salesman and a Louisiana riverboat deckhand. He moved to Anaheim where he started his career as Lionel in the program Dumbo’s Circus.
Craig Ferguson by August of 1994 he was established as one of Great Britain’s leading comedians. He had just had huge success at the Edinburgh Festival. In january 1995 he moved to Los Angeles where he works as an actor, director, writer, producer and creator.
John Cleese was born on October 27, 1939in Weston-Super-Mare, England. He was boorn into a family of modest means, his father being an insurance salesman. Nonetheless he was sent off to private schools to receive a good education. He loved humor, collected jokes, and like many young Britons who grew up to be comedians was devoted to the comedy radio show “The Goon Show”.
