Here we are at week six for Sundown Cinemas. This week the Helena Business Association will be presenting Footloose.
Friday Night – July 8 – 8:00pm – Old Town Helena Amphitheater
Footloose is a classic movie that was first introduced in 1984 and was about a city boy who comes to a small town where rock music and dancing have been banned. Can you imagin this in 2011? I can’t.
This movie is rated PG and will appeal to all audiences – teen to adult – I love this movie. The music alone will have you up and dancing.
The movie will be shown in the Old Town Helena Amphitheater. Concession stand opens at 6:30pm and the movie will begin at 8:00pm.
The concession stand serves hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries, nachos, popcorn, candy and a variety of soft drinks or water.
Bring your blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy a fun evening with the entire family but leave your coolers at home. The concession stand profits pay for the movies.
No outside food, drinks or coolers allowed!
If you would like the schedule for the full season you can see it here. The schedule is a downloadable PDF file that you may print out and tape it to your refrigerator or location of your choice.
Volunteers Needed. Judging by the crowd we had each week, this is going to be a big summer for the movies in the Amphitheater Park. The volunteer crew in the concession stand was overwhelmed by the demand for burgers, hot dogs, nachos, fries and popcorn, etc.
If you have the “volunteer spirit” please come down to the park at 6:30 p.m. this Friday (July 1) and we will most definitely find something for you to do. This is a great opportunity for teenagers who need to fulfill their community service requirements as well.
You may also ask to be added to our volunteer list for any or all of the other Friday night dates from July 15 through August 5.
Any questions or to volunteer, call Henry Neff 205-410-9828 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
